Science Officer

Weakening or incapacitating the enemy over time, creating energy fields that damage or hinder, and healing their away team from such effects. The Science Officer has the greatest potential to quickly react to a chaotic combat situation through direct enemy holds, weakening an enemy group's combat strength or resistance, or responding to enemy attack by quickly healing damage. Often used with debuffs. The Science Officer's Combat effectiveness is their versatility.

Abilities

Space Abilities:

Lieutenant: o Sensor Scan I: Sensor Scan reduces the Damage Resistance of the Target and nearby hostile ships while increasing your perception, making it easier to detect enemies. Unlock: Level 8

Lieutenant Commander: o Subnucleonic Beam I: Increases recharge time of target's powers Unlock: Level 18

Commander: TBA. Unlock: Level 28

Captain: TBA. Unlock: Level 38

Admiral: TBA. Unlock: Level 48


Ground Ablilities:

Lieutenant:o Tricorder Scan I: Sensor Scan reduces the Damage Resistance of the Target and nearby hostile enemies while increasing your perception, making it easier to detect enemies. Unlock: Level 5

Lieutenant Commander: o Neural Neutralizers: Placate nearby enemies. Placate breaks on damage. Placate makes enemies do any action that does not hurt you or allies. Unlock: Level 15

Commander: o Dampening Field I: Creates a field that debuffs the energy damage of all enemies within its effect. Unlock: Level 25

Captain: TBA. Unlock: Level 35

Admiral: TBA. Unlock: Level 45


While your class is similar to the bridge officers for each type of officer in game, it is important to note that bridge officers you can acquire in-game have different abilities and these abilities should be considered before you take them as a quest reward or requisition a bridge officer from a vendor for your ship.
